Accident & Emergency Crisis

Tory mismanagement of our health services has led to nearly 600 people in January having to wait more than 30 minutes to be handed over to A&E staff at St Helier & Epsom hospitals. Once there, over 2,800 waited longer than the target four hours to be treated, according to BBC investigators.

Revelations show that 16,000 local people were waiting more than the target time of 18 weeks for routine treatment in December representing a figure three times greater than in 2019.

Helen says, “Tory governments have consistently failed to meet the challenges posed by an aging population. We need to get people who are medically well enough, discharged from hospital and into social care – all funded by our 1p on income tax pledge. Enough is enough.”
